Important Notes

Information for teachers & staff
The synchronisation between BASIS and eCampus for the summer semester 2024 will be conducted every Friday:
09.02. / 16.02./ 23.02. / 01.03. / 08.03./ 15.03. / 22.03. / 05.04./ 12.04./ 19.04. / 26.04./ ... and further dates will follow
Please synchronise your BASIS courses manually with eCampus before these dates so that your eCampus courses appear in time for the start of the semester.
↪ An instruction to synchronising
If students are not present as course members, it is possible to manually  add them to a course.
You can find all the courses you are a member of in the main menu "Personal Workspace/My Courses and Groups".
Your courses are not all automatically on the Dashboard, but as soon as you add your courses to your favorites, they will be displayed on the Dashboard.
The courses from the current semester do not have a year prefix compared to old courses!
All courses without prefix are therefore those of the current semester.
The dates will be published on 15.03.2024.

Information for Lecturers & Staff

We cordially invite you to visit our Confluence Space, which provides detailed information about our eCampus services and digital teaching.
In order to use the eCampus learning platform effectively, we will also be offering online consultation hours from October.
You can reach the eCampus support team on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the virtual room. In a small group, we can tackle problems together directly and find a solution.
Please note that we will not delete BASIS-dependent courses for now.
We would like to point out that learning materials that lecturers at the University of Bonn make available to their students are usually protected by copyright.
On the intranet you can read the important information from the Legal Department on the copyright of learning materials.
The information letter (22.01.2020)
Currently, students of the partner universities (University of Cologne, Heinrich-Heine-University Düsseldorf) who participate as course participants in Bonn eCampus courses cannot receive email notification via eCampus in their mailbox of the respective learning platform. Please choose (as course administrators) other possibilities such as the main page of the course or the timeline to inform these students of your courses about the activities.
The  »Digital Accessibility« toolbox is a comprehensive resource offered by the ILIAS community. It provides important information on promoting accessibility, including learning units on the principles and situation of students with disabilities. It also explains legal obligations and introduces assistive technologies.

eCampus OPEN CONSULTATION HOURS (Tuesdays: 10:00-12:00) via Zoom.

Example courses: free to explore

With these example courses, we would like to give you an impression of the possibilities offered by the eCampus learning platform to support face-to-face teaching. eCampus provides a range of tools that can be used for different purposes.
You can freely explore the courses from the participant perspective (participant view). In the practice area you can try out the course objects and tools yourself.

Videos: easier to integrate

If you have recorded videos, please do not make them available as download files in eCampus (Mediacast object) or Sciebo, but use Educast (Opencast object) for this purpose.
The eCampus Video Portal can also be accessed directly via the web interface.
